Practice and Patience Let me say, that whole “up to 6 pounds” thing is a lie. I know my 5D3 is heavy but it’s not THAT heavy. It couldn’t balance on this. Until…I went over to Home Depot for a solution. I stacked two sets of about 25 washers (which were super thin, by the way) on top of each other, and that added just enough weight to make this useable. I don’t have it 100% balanced, but it’s very close. I know I probably should’ve gotten a more expensive/reliable one, if I’m going to be using it with such a beast of a camera. But I’m experimenting and didn’t want to spend $500 on a GlideCam just yet. I spent all of my money on the camera, after all. Lol.

Great for the price, real bang for your buck, but not as good as the competition First things first.. this is inexpensive. so you have to take that into account for what you get.
