I Was Very Pleasantly Suprised and No Learning Curve Since purchasing this item, a number of lower priced, feature rich competitors, such as Smove, a pocket sized counterpart. I have given this one to a friend, who is very happy to own it and I now have a pocket sized version, which also does pan aromas and face following, etc. This was my original review: Very simple to use out of the box and a true value compared to the competition. It would appear that most of these steady devices for GoPro and Smart Phones are made by the same manufacturer and several seem to be almost identical, save for some cosmetic differences. I received this with GoPro adapters for $300, and I saw the same device configured similarly selling for over $500. It is lightweight and fits comfortable in a purse or pocket. Mine required no fine tuning, just the addition of a supplied counterweight. I can be ready to shoot with my Smasung Note Phone in less than 30 seconds. If you go to YouTube, you’ll see many videos showing the difference and it is night and day…

Great gimbal, lousy manual, no firmware/calibration software, lousy support. First let me say that the Leios has the potential to be truly amazing. It will allow you to take stunningly smooth video with a cell phone and a GoPro (sort of).
