Great for MINIs! I own a 2016 MINI Cooper that did not come with a factory installed phone holder. I checked online to see how much it would be to install their back panel (behind steering wheel) holder. It would cost +$300 with installation. Ridiculous huh? I didn’t want to venture into installing it myself + $100 was still too much for a phone holder so I had to look for other options. The MINI is very limited in where you can install a phone holder. Air vents are too awkward, no CD, and overall limited space due to its size. It was either a dashboard, cup holder or windshield. A lot of these options involved glue(dashboard), hard to look at while driving (cup holder) and most seemed very bulky and obstructive to my view (windshield) since it’s such a small car. I just wanted something simple and affordable to hold my phone for navigation without having to permanently mark the car.

Nice holder, but I’m not impressed with the power coupler. This device holds my phone (Samsung Galaxy S7 edge) very nicely. BUT, I do not like the power coupling. It is magnetic and every little bump in the road causes a quick interruption of power, which causes my phone to give a little charging started alert… every 5 or 10 minutes (my local roads are not the best).Another trait about this device that bothers me is that there is an incredibly BRIGHT blue light that indicates power. With this holder on my dash I swear the light seems to be a spotlight shining directly into my eyes at night!!
