Great system, but comes with no installation instructions Just finally installed one of these in my wife’s 2004 Mazda MPV. Great system, but comes with no installation instructions, just a basic wiring diagram and programming instructions. Fine by me, I’ve installed plenty of these things over the years, so I didn’t really need any further documentation, but you can find it online if needed. Remote range doesn’t seem all that impressive, but the main use of it is to start my wife’s car out in the driveway, which it does nicely. I probably should have cut or removed the wires that I didn’t need for my particular installation, but instead I just bundled them up.

Avital 4113LX Remote Start Awesome 1-button remote start and works great on my 2007 TrailBlazer. You will need a DBALL2 databus bypass module as well to work with the remote start. I had read that I would lose the functionality of my OE key fob for door unlock/lock, but I still retained all functions of the key fob. Also, while the vehicle is running and you press the button on the remote start key fob, it will unlock all doors on the vehicle. The valet mode is quite useful. If you need to run in somewhere quickly, you can press the button on the remote start key fob while the engine is running and it will allow you to take the keys out of the ignition while the engine continues to run. You are able to lock the vehicle while you run into the store or gas station. If you accidentally start the vehicle and are aware, you can hold the remote start key fob button for 3 seconds and it will allow you to shut the engine off. If you are not aware the vehicle is running, after 12 minutes the engine will shut off…
